All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG ) on Black Maternal Health

On 21st July 2021, an All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Black Maternal Health was formulated and we are delighted to officially launch it on Black Maternal Health Awareness Week.

An APPG is a cross-party group of members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords alongside charities, organisations and individuals who join together and pursue a particular topic or interest.

All-Party Parliamentary Groups cover a diverse range of subjects and are established for a rich variety of purposes. They provide a valuable opportunity for parliamentarians to engage with individuals and organisations outside Parliament who share an interest in the subject matter of their group.

The APPG aims to raise awareness of the issue of racial disparities within maternal healthcare and offer solutions to end this.
