This privacy notice sets out the basis on which we will process any personal information that we may collect about you as a visitor to our website or as a contact in accordance with applicable data protection law. We therefore ask you to read this privacy notice carefully.

We may collect and process the following information about you (your Personal Data):

1.1           Information that you give us: This is information about you that you give to us by:

1.1.1        filling in forms on our website (or other forms that we ask you to complete);

1.1.2        filling in surveys published by us on our website or third party platforms;

1.1.3        subscribing to our service or publications or requesting marketing to be sent to you;

1.1.4        volunteering with us; or

1.1.5        corresponding with us by telephone, post, email or otherwise.

This may include, for example your name, email address, telephone number, and any other personal data which may be incidentally processed if you contact us about the collection of your Personal Data. Where you volunteer with us, this may also include your date of birth / age, gender, business and personal contact (including emergency contacts) information, photograph, national insurance number or equivalent, passport number and other details, citizenship, information regarding health and disabilities and any health and safety assessments and records, date of volunteering and termination (where relevant).  

1.2           Information that our website and other systems collect about you:

1.2.1        If you visit our website it will automatically collect some information about you and your visit, including internet and network activity such as the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the internet and some other information such as your browser type and version and the pages on our site that you visit for the purpose of enhancing your experience.

1.2.2        If you exchange emails, telephone conversations or other electronic communications with Five X More, our information technology systems may record details of those conversations for the purpose of enhancing our services.

1.3           Other information: We may also collect certain information from other sources. For example, we sometimes collect information from third party service providers, such as Eventbrite, when we use their services and platforms to register individuals for events hosted by us.

1.4           Special Categories of Personal Data: We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences. Where we collect any special categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data) we will seek your explicit consent prior to collecting such Personal Data.

2.              OUR USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

2.1           We process your Personal Data for the following purposes on the legal basis that the processing is necessary for our legitimate interest, including commercial interest or broader societal benefit, where we use your Personal Data in ways you would reasonably expect, and which have a minimal impact on your privacy:

2.1.1        to conduct research for the purposes of publishing reports relating to the disparity between maternal mortality rates and outcomes in black and mixed-race women during their pregnancies and after childbirth and those of white women in the UK;

2.1.2        to operate, manage, develop and promote our organisation, campaigns and future events to bring public awareness to our organisation's cause (for example, for marketing purposes, which may involve activities where we require volunteers);

2.1.3        to carry out human resource activities to manage our volunteers; and

2.1.4        to operate, administer and improve our website and other aspects of the way in which we conduct our operations.

2.2           We only rely on these interests where we have considered that, on balance, the legitimate interests are not overridden by your interests, fundamental rights or freedoms.

2.3           Your emails and other communications may also occasionally be accessed by persons other than with whom they are exchanged for ordinary management purposes.

2.4           We will tell you, when we ask you to provide Personal Data about yourself, if provision of the requested information is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or, on the other hand, if it is purely voluntary and there will be no implications if you decline to provide the information.

2.5           Generally, we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your Personal Data although we will obtain your consent before sending third party direct marketing communications to you. You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us (see below Contact us). We will also obtain your explicit consent to process any special categories of Personal Data about you.

3.              DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

3.1           We may share your Personal Data with the following parties, where reasonably necessary and in accordance with applicable data protection law for the purposes described above:

3.1.1        to maternity support organisations, academics, scholars, medical professionals, healthcare workers and institutions who specialise in research on maternal healthcare and outcomes and/or who provide maternal healthcare to assist with publishing our reports and statistics for our campaigns, under strict conditions of confidentiality and security and/or on an anonymised and aggregated basis; 

3.1.2        to service providers who host our website, or other information technology systems, or otherwise hold or process your Personal Data on our behalf, under strict conditions of confidentiality and security;

3.1.3        Five x More's legal or other professional advisers (including consultants and marketing companies used by Five x More) for the purpose of obtaining legal advice; or

3.1.4        to the extent required by law, in exceptional circumstances:

(a)   to competent regulatory, prosecuting and other governmental agencies, or litigation counterparties, in any country or territory; and

(b)  where we are required to disclose your Personal Data.

3.2           We will never sell your Personal Data and in all cases, Five x More will ensure that your Personal Data is only disclosed for the purposes set out above and in compliance with applicable data protection law.

4.           INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

4.1           We will not transfer your Personal Data outside the United Kingdom (UK) or the European Economic Area (EEA).

5.              RETNETION AND DELETION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

5.1           We intend to keep your Personal Data accurate and up-to-date. We delete the information that we hold about you when it is no longer required.

6.1           You have a right of access to the Personal Data that we hold about you, and to some related information, under data protection law.

6.2           You can request that we rectify your Personal Data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

6.3           You can request that we erase your Personal Data in certain circumstances.
