We’re calling on Black and Black mixed-heritage women and birthing people in the UK to share their maternity experiences by completing the Black Maternity Experience Survey.
Your voice matters. This survey is open to anyone who has been pregnant and given birth since July 2021 or is currently pregnant. By taking part, you’ll help us highlight the realities of Black maternal health and advocate for the changes urgently needed in maternity care. In 2021 with YOUR HELP we launched the first ever Black maternity experience survey. 1340 of you filled out the survey and the following year the report came out. One of the recommendations from the last report was for the Government to put a target to end the statistics. This is something the current Governement has committed to doing. We couldn't have got there without you.
The data we collect from this survey will be used to create a report that drives action, influences policy, and pushes for better maternity outcomes for Black women and birthing people. When we speak up together, real change happens.
